We had a long winter this year in the Mile High City. It snowed every week the entire month of April, and even snowed on May 1st. Not just a little flurry either, we're talking 6-8 inch dumps every week. We thought it would never end, but alas, the heat is back and the AC is on! I don't think I can possibly explain how happy I am to have air conditioning during my summer pregnancy this time around.
Heiko loves being outside; playing with balls, digging in the dirt, pushing his lawn mower, riding his tricycle, climbing and sliding on his slide, and helping water the plants.
We spent most of Memorial Day weekend outside; grilling out with friends, eating watermelon, playing in the yard, and visiting Tiny Town! Tiny Town is this adorable little place in the mountains outside Morrison, CO. Almost 100 years ago (98 to be exact), a man built these tiny houses and buildings for his daughter to play with, and after many (as the website describes) "boom and bust cycles," it eventually turned into a fun little public destination for kids. In addition to the tiny town that kids can explore, there are a couple of mini trains that give rides around the park, including a real (miniature) steam engine. Heiko has been really into trains (and motorcycles and bikes... all modes of transportation I guess) lately, but he was a little intimidated by this steam engine. It was really loud, and there were a lot of people there, so he was a bit apprehensive but still had a blast at Tiny Town.
Here are some pictures of our Spring, which as of this past Friday has morphed into our Summer break! Hooray for summer! There will be a lot of zoo, pool, museum, and backyard action in the next two months. =)

Did you really just say that?
This morning in our bedroom, I was getting some clothes out of a dresser drawer when Heiko came in wanting to go around me to go snoop in Jonas' stuff... he tried squeezing in between me and the bed, and said "Excuse me."
Where does the kid come up with this stuff? So brilliant. He amazes us every single day with his verbal skills. And cracks us up for sure. =)

Things Heiko enjoys:
- Seeing school buses out of the car windows.
- Seeing, or just hearing, motorcycles drive by.
- Watching the bulldozers "scoop and dump" outside daycare.
- Getting scoops of dirt from the pots and garden beds in the backyard, and putting them into different containers or onto interesting surfaces.
- Riding his "bike" (his tricycle).
- Making mommy laugh.
- Helping mommy put on makeup in the morning. And putting some on himself of course.
- Spinning in circles with daddy.
- Dancing and singing.
- Riding on the back of daddy's bike.
- His dinosaur shoes. He refuses to wear any other shoes. And by refuses, I mean a falling to the floor screaming temper tantrum if you put any others on him.
- His teachers, Ms. Sonia and Ms. Regina. On the way to daycare the other day, Heiko was chanting, "Need Sonia!

First Baby Dos bump picture!
I am feeling terrific now that my morning/all day sickness has left. My hips hurt occasionally, and I fall asleep on the couch ridiculously early almost every night (and then proceed to get mad at Jonas when he lovingly tries to convince me to transfer to the bed... sorry honey... hormones), but other than that I am doing great!
And I seem to have grown a baby bump overnight. Here's Baby Dos, growing growing growing!

Digging and Singing
But not at the same time. Don't mind the coughing, just a little ear infection. =)

Weekend fun
A couple more videos... when I upload from my phone it looks like the videos are sideways, but when you play them they aren't really; I'm just too lazy to fix the thumbnails.
Dancin' Fool
Heiko loves to dance. We went to Boulder last weekend for a festival they were having, and he loved watching, listening, and dancing to the bands. I think my dad got some video of his dancing, I'll work on getting that uploaded. He created this new move that day where he grabs his crotch Michael Jackson style, only with both hands, then shakes his booty back and forth. It's so hilarious.
Here's an at-home dancing video in the meantime!
