Goodbye 2013!

You were very good to us.  =)

Happy Holidays

This was the first year that Heiko really understood the concept of Christmas, which made this holiday season extra special.  I think Christmas is even more fun as a parent than being a kid!  We had an early Christmas here at our house and my parents' house, then flew to Baltimore on Christmas Eve.  Santa was sure good to all of us, and it was really great to get to be with both of our families this year.  I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking (mostly because I have a very limited few minutes to finish posting before my hands are occupied by a baby again!).

**Disclaimer**
We got a new camera lens for Christmas and I still need some practice with focus, so there are a lot of blurry pictures below!  They are too cute to discard though!

Theo is 3 months old!

I forgot to post Theo's 2 month doctor visit stats...

15lbs 4oz (95th percentile)
24 1/4 inches (91st percentile)

A big boy!

He is still growing like crazy now at 3 months, and getting stronger every day.  He is a super happy baby, and is sleeping well too!  He was sleeping a 7, sometimes 8, hour chunk before waking to nurse.  Now we are transitioning him to his crib in his own room, so he is a little unpredictable, but getting used to his new digs little by little.

Theo is in 9 month clothing.  Yes you read that correctly... 9 months.  He has great head/neck control, but still prefers to be held rather than play and explore independently, which leads to sore backs for Jonas and me.  But he is so happy and easy going, it's impossible to get mad at him for it.  :)

Theo has rolled over (tummy to back) a grand total of 4 times, so not quite a new trick yet.

I go back to work in 2.5 weeks, and am of course super sad to leave him.  But he and his friend Amelia (who is about 12 hours younger than him ;)) will spend their days with our new nanny, Kaycee.  We are very excited to have found someone who we think will provide exceptional care for the babies.  I'm soaking in every moment of these last weeks at home, then will be counting down the days until summer and two months with my boys!
