Theo does not crawl at all anymore. In fact, he is actually trying to run. He is a total wild man.
He has such a fun personality, and everyone he meets is a friend. Just today at the zoo he was turned around in the wagon waving at a random older lady who was walking near us.
Theo loves his brother. I know this is not new information, but now that he can somewhat keep up with Heiko, their relationship has evolved into a full-on obsession. Theo wants to be where Heiko is at all times, doing what Heiko is doing. They wrestle, chase each other, and give countless kisses and hugs. Heiko doesn't like sharing his trains and tracks because Hurricane Theo is quite destructive, but for the most part they play together wonderfully.
We are pretty sure that Theo says "mama" and "bye bye". Aside from lots of "ma-ma-ma-ma", he likes the sounds "I" and "sssss" and sometimes puts them together to say "Ice". ;)
We've had a busy few weeks with Theo struggling to get over some
digestive issues. We are still trying to figure out what's going on,
but luckily our sweet boy is still happy as ever! Because of his issues, his diet has been pretty lame lately. He loves food so much. So much. But unfortunately we've had to keep his diet pretty boring and bland to try to help him regulate and reset his digestive system. He can't wait for this illness to be over! (us too.....)
Theo loves to dance. Whenever he hears music playing, he does his little dance bounce. He loves tapping toys together, and REALLY loves banging things on tables and walls. He likes being loud. =)
He still tries to eat everything he can get his hands on... sure will be nice when that instinct wears off!
I'm sure there's a lot I'm forgetting, it's late and Theo wakes me up around 5am every day... so I'm tired. But since I'm late in posting this, the big 1 year post is coming up in two short weeks (what??!!?!?! how??!?!?!), so I'll be working on my list. :)

Heiko says:
"I'm not a very good German teller, but I know the pages that Daddy reads in my book."
"I can't calm down, I just need to cry a little bit."
Mom- "Heiko, why did you get out of bed last night? That wasn't cool."
Heiko- "Yes it was. I liked it."
"Mom, my flower's getting dead, can you throw it outside so the bees can drink the nectar?"
Mom- "Heiko, if you don't quit yelling in the car, you're not watching a show tonight."
Heiko- "Okay, I'm just gonna cry. I won't spit or yell, I'm just gonna cry."
Mom- "Did your friends sing Happy Birthday to you at school?"
Heiko- "Yes, Mommy. They sang really loud. They were really nice to me."
"When I get bigger and bigger, I'm gonna drive a school bus. No, silly me, I'm gonna drive a boat. I'm gonna drive the bus to the ocean and then get on my boat. I'm gonna drive a submarine boat. I'm gonna drive it far away to an island, and when I get there I'm gonna get out and go fly an airplane!"
"Look mom, it's an ice cream cone with food in it!" (a cornucopia.)

Heiko's 3rd Birthday Party
We celebrated a day early so that we would have Sunday to recover, but the party was such a success, there isn't much to recover from after all!
I'm pretty proud of our little cowboy party. Thanks to Pinterest, I had a bunch of ideas, and they were all pulled off flawlessly. It could've never happened without Nana and Pop, though! They totally surpassed my expectations with the ADORABLE cows and lassos. We had 10 kids, 4 babies, and a lot of parents over, which had the potential of being totally crazy... but everything went so smoothly! The weather was perfect, all the kids had so much fun, and we got to chit chat with everyone and enjoy ourselves too. It was such a great day.
Heiko had the time of his life, and he was so proud to be the big birthday boy. Here's the proof:
